At least 12 Baloch civilians have reportedly gone missing after being taken by Pakistani security forces in Balochistan, according to human rights groups. The incident, involving four women and an elderly man from Kech district, adds to a widening pattern of enforced disappearances, extrajudicial actions and intimidation across the province. An human rights group said, the group was detained while travelling for a pilgrimage and has not been seen since. Activists warn that the targeting of civilians, particularly women and older persons, reflects an increasingly alarming trend that demands urgent investigation. Meanwhile, another human rights group reported two additional disappearances in Quetta, where local shopkeepers were allegedly taken by security personnel.
