With a background in Islamic Studies and Journalism, Sana began her career as a reporter in Doha, focusing on Middle Eastern geopolitics before transitioning to a more Asia-centric role. Her expertise lies in covering the social and political challenges faced by Muslim populations, particularly in Southeast and South Asia.
Sana’s documentary work on religious minorities in Myanmar won her Award for Excellence in International Journalism, marking a milestone in her career. She spent four years as a Senior Editor at The Al Arabiya Post, where she covered issues impacting Muslim communities in Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines. Her work has appeared in several international news portals, where she wrote extensively on the role of Islam in Asia’s political and social landscape.
