Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) tonight claimed responsibility for blowing up a Pakistan Army vehicle in Kech district of Balochistan, killing 8 personnel, including a Captain.

BLA freedom fighters detonated a remote-controlled IED targeting a vehicle belonging to the 125 Wing of Pakistan Army in Shind area of Mand in Kech during the day, its spokesman Jeeyand Baloch said in a statement.

Eight personnel, including Captain Waqar Kakar, Naik Junaid, Naik Asmat, Lance Naik Khan Muhammad and Sepoy Zahoor Ahmed were eliminated in the blast, he said.

In a separate operation, BLA freedom fighters ambushed an on-foot patrol party of Pakistan army in the Marao area of Mastung on Saturday while the enemy personnel were advancing towards Kahr, the  spokesman said.

This attack resulted in casualties, while other personnel fled abandoning their fellow personnel, he added.

In another operation, Baloch Liberation Army freedom fighters targeted and destroyed spy cameras installed by enemy army around the DC office in Noshki city on Friday night, Jeeyand Baloch said.

During this engagement, enemy deployed a quadcopter, which was also shot down by BLA warriors, he said.

Levies Force attempted to obstruct the fighters, prompting the freedom fighters to retaliate and target them as well, he said.

“Baloch Liberation Army has already made it clear that concessions have been granted to the Levies and Police Force due to their Baloch-majority composition. However, if these forces obstruct the freedom fighters’ path, these concessions will be withdrawn,” the spokesman warned.
