Delhi News Highlights: The Delhi High Court is set to hear bail petitions moved by former deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia in the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) investigations pertaining to the now-scrapped Delhi excise policy on Friday.
In the wake of false bomb threat claims circulating on WhatsApp, the Delhi Police on Thursday urged the public to disregard them as the messages had “no truth in them”. Over 150 schools in the Delhi-NCR received identical threat emails, prompting evacuations and searches, but authorities found no explosives, declaring it a hoax. This comes a day after the Directorate of Education (DoE) in Delhi issued an advisory to around 100 schools in the Delhi-NCR region. The advisory urged schools to promptly check official emails and notify authorities if anything suspicious is noticed.
Weather Update: According to the India Meteorological Department, Delhi is expected to experience minimum and maximum temperatures ranging between 37 to 19.3 degrees Celsius on Thursday. The forecast also indicates that the city will have mainly clear skies throughout the day.
