Dhaka, October 22: Bangladesh arranged nationwide events to observe Black Day.

Pro-liberation forces and liberal minded NGOs of Bangladesh, a nation which had sacrificed lives and faced tortures to gain their independence from Islamabad in 1971, hosted nationwide events to observe ‘Black Day’ on Friday to mark the brutal invasion of India’s Jammu and Kashmir by Pakistan over seven decades ago and the mindless atrocities committed on the people.

Black Day is observed to mark the sacrifices made by countless Hindus, Sikhs, Muslims to defeat the invasion of the erstwhile Princely State by the Pakistan Army in 1947, often touted as the tribal invasion.
